Calmical Terms of Use
Effective date: September 26, 2026
Operator: Chairlook, LLC, which runs Calmical (calmical.com), support@calmical.com
- The service. Calmical is a shared household calendar, currently in an invitation-only beta. Features may change, and the beta may end with 30 days' notice, with a chance to export your data first.
- Who can use it.
- Accounts are for people 13 and older. A household is started by an adult (18 or over), with a beta code we provide during the beta.
- Others join by invitation from an admin. An admin confirms each person they invite is 13 or older; a teen (13–17) uses Calmical with their parent's or guardian's permission, and the parent or guardian is responsible for that use.
- Children under 13 don't have their own login; a parent adds them to the household and manages what's added for them.
- You sign in with Google, with Apple, or with an email address and password. If you use an email and password, you confirm the address before starting or joining a household, and you keep your password private.
- Your household.
- The person who creates a household is its first admin. Admins can add and remove members, invite people, manage devices and settings, and delete the household.
- What anyone adds to a household is visible to its members, apart from outside calendars marked private and the cycle tracker.
- You're responsible for who you invite.
- Sharing with other families.
- A member can share their own calendar with another household, and an admin can share any member's. A teen's own share needs an admin's approval.
- You choose what they see (busy times only, details, or details and adding events), and you can change it or stop sharing at any time. Events marked private show only as "Busy"; notes are never shared.
- At "can add events", the other family's adults can add events to that calendar; their name is shown on what they add, and they can change or delete only that.
- Share only with people you trust, and only calendars you're allowed to share.
- Your content.
- You keep ownership of what you add.
- You give us permission to store, copy, process and display it only to run the service for your household and the families you share with.
- Don't add content you don't have the right to add, or that's unlawful.
- Acceptable use. Don't:
- try to access other households' data;
- get around limits or security;
- use the service, or sharing, to harass anyone;
- point outside-calendar or recipe imports at sites you're not allowed to fetch;
- overload the service;
- resell it.
We may limit or suspend accounts that do.
- Limits. Households have fair-use limits (for example, recipe imports per day, outside calendars, shared calendars and wall displays). We may change them with notice.
- Health features. The cycle tracker is for your own records.
- It isn't medical advice and isn't for preventing or planning pregnancy.
- Predictions and fertile-window estimates can be wrong.
- A forgotten passphrase can't be recovered by us.
- Wall displays. A paired display shows your household's calendar to anyone who can see the screen. Place it accordingly. Remove it from the Family screen if it's lost.
- Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.
- Availability and warranty. The service is provided "as is" during the beta, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We back up data daily and keep backups for 14 days, but can't promise to recover everything.
- Keep your own copy of anything critical; export is always available.
- Don't rely on reminders for anything safety-critical (for example, medication or child pickup).
- Liability. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the greater of $50 or what you paid us in the last 12 months.
- Ending.
- You can leave a household or delete your account at any time.
- We may end your access for a serious breach of these terms, with notice where reasonable and a chance to export your data.
- Sections 5 (the permission ends when your content is deleted), 8, 11 and 12 survive.
- Changes. We'll post changes and tell you in the app before important ones take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
- Law. The laws of the State of Florida govern these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts for Hernando County, Florida, unless your local law gives you other rights.
